After three years of being separated from his wife of over 10 years, Kai Millard Morris, Stevie Wonder has filed the papers to make the divorce final.
Wonder filed the paperwork in Los Angeles on Friday under his legal name, Stevland Morris, and signed with two fingerprints.
According to TMZ, the papers state the couple has been separated since 2009, and Wonder request joint custody of their two sons, ages 10 and 7. Wonder also agrees to pay child and spousal support to Kai.
“As this is a private and personal matter, he asks that the public and the media kindly respect the privacy of Kai, his children and family at this time,” a rep for Wonder told CNN.
This is Wonder’s second divorce. His marriage to singer Syreeta Wright ended in 1972.
