One of the most hotly anticipated rock memoirs of the year is easily Neil Young’s Waging Heavy Peace, in which the mercurial musician will tell his stories from his days in Buffalo Springfield, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, and Crazy Horse. But it turns out that he had a hard time remembering some details of his pre-Springfield Buffalo days in Canada. So he reached out to his friend Randy Bachman, who (of course) went on to join the Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. At first, Bachman didn’t know what prompted his barrage of questions, but he soon figured it out.
These days, Bachman plays with Fred Turner in a band simply called Bachman & Turner. Their new album, Live At The Roseland Ballroom, NYC sees them playing BTO’s biggest hits, as well as the Guess Who’s “American Woman” and a few new songs as well.
Young’s Waging Heavy Peace will be released October 2.
