The ‘tickets @ 2’ hit of the day is “My Life” by the piano man himself, Billy Joel.

The song is about asserting your independence and the theme of the 1980 television sitcom Bosom Buddies – the one that introduced us to Tom Hanks (in a dress!). However, because of licensing issues, the title theme was not Joel’s version and was sung by a sound-a-like singer.

Note the pleasing high harmonies, it’s Chicago members Peter Cetera and Donnie Dacus joining Joel on the backup vocals.

This was Billy’s seventh Top-40 Hit.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 15 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see the Pacific Symphony perform music of The Eagles at the Verizon Amphitheatre.
