They’re calling it the “loss heard around the world” and one of the worst calls in boxing history. In the anticipated fight between fan-favorite Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley Jr. on Saturday night in Las Vegas, the judges’ split-decision awarded in favor of the undefeated Bradley.
The call boosted Bradley’s record to 29-and-0 in his career and resulted in winning the WBO Welterweight title. Pacquiao dipped to 54-4-and-2 in his career. The decision came as a surprise to many fans as HBO’s Harold Lederman had scored heavily in favor of Pacquiao.
Despite his loss, Pacquiao is still in good spirits telling CBS News, “I hope you’re not dismayed or discouraged. I can fight. I can still fight.”
So now we’re wondering after this poor call, do you believe the fight was fixed?
