Those Inconvenienced By The LACMA Boulder Could Get Free Admission To The Museum

It was quite the trek from Riverside to Los Angeles for a 340-ton rock to its new home at LACMA on the Miracle Mile earlier this year.  There were plenty of updates on the news with the progress of the “Levitated Mass” by artist Michael Heizer.

Due to the enormous size of the rock, it was transported on a special transporter which was the length of not only a city block, but also as wide as two car lanes and traveled at a speed of only 5 mph, enough to cause major headaches along the rock’s journey.

If you were one of those who was “inconvenienced” by this large rock during its journey from Riverside to Los Angeles, free admission to LACMA is in your future.

Between June 24 – July 1, if you live in any of the zip codes listed below, you get free admission to LACMA as a thank you for your patience.

But don’t forget to bring you ID because you’ll need proof of residency of one of these zip codes:
