It’s Detroit native Bob Seger on ‘Tickets @ 2′ with “Old Time Rock and Roll.” It’s from Seger’s 1978 album Stranger in Town.

It’s a nostalgic look at the music of a previous rock ‘n’ roll era. The song was played in the Tom Cruise film Risky Business and gained widespread fame because of it.

The Amusement & Music Operators Association list it as the most played song ever by a male artist, and ranks #2 on their Top 40 Jukebox Singles of all time. The song was recorded at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

When we play the hit between two and three we’ll take caller #8 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see the Reverend Al Green at the Greek Theatre in July.
