Tom Cruise’s Best Singing Scenes In Movies
His stint as rock star Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages isn’t the first instance Tom Cruise has shown off his vocal chops on film. Some of his most memorable scenes in movies are ones that he’s singing and dancing in (sometimes in his underwear!).
Let’s take a brief stroll down Tom Cruise’s musical history in the movies with his best singing scenes!
Top Gun — Taking on The Righteous Brothers’ classic hit, Cruise a.k.a. “Maverick” tries to woo the girl with an out-of-tune but effective rendition “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling.” There’s also this gem of Maverick and Goose dueting on “Great Balls Of Fire.”
Risky Business — Cruise lip-syncs and dances in his underwear from the only scene in Risky Business viewers remember.
Cocktail — As a big shot bartender, Cruise entertains the bar patrons with his rendition of Robert Palmer’s “Addicted To Love.”
Rock Of Ages — Cruise made the full transformation in an ’80s rock star with tattoos, eyeliner, abs and all, and takes on several ’80s rock classics including Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar On Me.”
War Of The Worlds— In an extremely emotional scene, Cruise sings a tearful, heartfelt version of The Beach Boys'”Little Deuce Coupe” to his daughter played by Dakota Fanning.
