Hundreds Of Surfers Pay Tribute To Junior Seau In ‘Paddle-Out’ Memorial

Hundreds of surfers took to the water in a touching tribute to the late NFL star Junior Seau right in front of his Oceanside beach home. The paddle-out memorial is a traditional surfer send-off in honor of a fallen friend, and hundreds of fans and surfers flocked to pay their respects to Seau.

Since Seau was an avid surfer who frequently rode the waves right outside his beachfront home, surfers gave him the traditional send-off while holding hands in a circle and saying a prayer on the water.

Fans were shocked at Seau’s tragic death last week on May 2nd at the age of 43 after the NFL star committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest. Watch the paddle-out tribute below.
