If there was one L.A. stop that late actor Marlon Brando loved, it was picking up a hot dog at the iconic Pink’s Hot Dogs stand in Hollywood. The legendary actor would often drive out to this Hollywood landmark in the wee hours of the night just to satisfy his craving, and now Pink’s is honoring him with his very own hot dog creation — The Brando Hot Dog.
Marlon’s son, Miko, joined us this morning to talk about the event in honor of what would be his 88th birthday this month, and will be onsite at Pink’s this afternoon to help introduce The Brando Hot Dog made up of the actor’s favorite toppings — mustard, onion and chili.
What: The Brando Hot Dog at Pink’s Hot Dogs
Where: Pink’s Hot Dogs — 709 N. La Brea Avenue
When: Friday, April 27, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
About: Marlon Brando’s son, Miko, and daughter, Rebecca, will help celebrate their father’s 88th birthday anniversary by teaming up with Pink’s owners Gloria and Richard to debut The Brando Hot Dog.
The public is invited to come out for this special event, and anyone who dresses up like a famous Marlon Brando movie character will receive a FREE Brando Hot Dog!
There will also be a classic 1949 Lancia Ardea sedan on site, the same model car that was blown up in Godfather II.
