The Temptations Through the Years

This afternoon on ‘Tickets @ 2′ it’s “My Girl” by The Temptations.

A monster hit written by Smokey Robinson and Ronald White of The Miracles. Smokey wrote the lyrics, which were inspired by his wife, Claudette.

Smokey also wrote “My Guy” for Motown singer Mary Wells, carrying the same sentiment only from a woman’s perspective.

This was the first of four #1 hits for The Temptations.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win tickets to see Billy Elliot the Musical at the Pantages.
