Your ‘Tickets @ 2′ song of the day is “Give A Little Bit” by Supertramp.
Supertramp singer/guitarist Roger Hodgson wrote the song when he was a teenager, but didn’t record it until much later, six years before he brought the song to the group.
He explained that at the time he wrote it around 1970 there was a lot of hope and optimism carried over from the ’60s, pointing out that The Beatles put out “All You Need Is Love” and that “I Roger believed in love. It was during a time when writing simple songs was very easy because I didn’t over-think them.”
If your caller # 14 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) when we play it between two and three you’ll win a pair of tickets to see Billy Elliott The Musical at the Pantages. It’s a musical based on the 2000 film with music by Sir Elton John.
