Below is an excerpt in Gary’s words from the article compiled by Don Barrett on LARadio.com:
There have been many great moments in our first ten years. Many of them involve hanging out with people we’ve admired for years, like Ringo, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Peter Asher, Sly Stone (THAT was amazing!), Garry Marshall, Mariette Hartley, Stephen J. Cannell, Gary Sinise, Greg Grunberg, Susanna Hoffs and the Bangles, the fabulous Lea Thompson, Taraji P. Henson and so many more. What follows are ten highlights from the first ten years. They’re all amazing, and they just scratch the surface!
Gary continues in the article about one of his favorite moments from the past ten years:
The 40th Anniversary of the Beatles 1st Ed Sullivan Appearance happened in 2004, so we got together with the Fab Four and recreated that special night on the old KCAL 9 soundstage in the building at 5515 Melrose. We even created a banner with the Ed Sullivan Show logo. That morning the Fab Four played the exact playlist the Beatles played on February 9th, 1964 and we produced the segment so that they were introduced by the voice of Ed Sullivan. It was amazing. The set was carried live by Good Day L.A., KTLA, KABC and KCAL 9.
