Gene Simmons’ Rock and Brew Opens In El Segundo

Now in his 5th decade with Kiss, Gene Simmons raised $25,000 for Wounded Warriors last night, at his new Rock And Brews in El Segundo.

Simmons said “You may not be a rockstar yourself, but you will feel like one at Rock And Brews.” El Segundo is the first of many new locations for Gene’s latest business adventure. Other locations will include Maui, Tokyo, Nashville and the Delta terminal at LAX. Members of Guns And Roses, Deep Purple and Motley Crue were on hand for the huge grand opening, a charity event for our troops. 130 Afghanistan war veterans were treated to gourmet pizza and their choice of nearly 100 different “brews” early in the day.The party was on big time in the evening, with Gene giving a passionate speech and a huge check to 2 Wounded Warriors, both missing their right arms.

Rock And Brews was built in just 80 days.It is a very comfortable hangout for music fans of all generations. The huge beer garden is adorned with huge  images of Rock n’ Roll royalty. Elvis, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Freddie Mercury, Springsteen, Bono, Kurt Cobain and Madonna will gaze upon you while you party. Patrons will dine and sip to classic videos of John Lennon, Neil Young, Tom Petty, and Jimi Hendrix.

Simmons said he picked El Segundo as it is the first place touring bands see when they land at LAX. Rock And Brews is located at 143 Main St. The perfect evening also had a perfect ending. As I left the building, I heard Bob Seger painfully moaning “Down On Main Street.”
