Sir Peter Blake, the artist behind the cover of The Beatles‘ 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, has recreated the iconic album cover, which originally featured the likes of Bob Dylan, Marilyn Monroe and many more celebs.

The Sgt. Pepper’s redux, originally posted on The Guardian’s website, features many new faces, including Elton John, Elvis Costello, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, J.K. Rowling, Amy Winehouse and Noel Gallagher.

“I’ve chosen people I admire, great people and some who are dear friends,” Blake told The Guardian. “I had a very long list of people who I wanted to go in but couldn’t fit everyone in — I think that shows how strong British culture and its legacy of the last six decades is.”

Blake’s artwork celebrates his 80th birthday and was created for a retrospective at the Wayne Hemingway’s Vintage Festival in England this July.

I like that new cover; it;s more modern and up to date! Still it can’t compare to the original 67 Beatles cover; that’s a classic!
