For the first time in over two decades, legendary guitarist [lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Joe Walsh[/lastfm] returns to the mic for his upcoming solo album, Analog Man. The former [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]James Gang[/lastfm] guitarist and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Eagles[/lastfm] member is prepping the release of his new solo album with the exclusive first listen of the first single, “Analog Man,” that has him bashing the complexity of the digital age.
If you’re feeling lost in the digital age, you’re not alone. In his new single, Joe contemplates modern day life and living with all the advancing technology around us.
He sings, “Welcome to cyberspace, I’m lost in a fog/Everything’s digital, I’m still analog/Something goes wrong, I don’t have a clue/A 10-year-old smart-a** has to show me what to do.”
The 64-year-old singer continues, “The whole world’s living in a digital dream / it’s not really there, it’s all on the screen.”
The track features Walsh’s famous brother-in-law, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Ringo Starr[/lastfm], on the drums, and even recently, Walsh played alongside [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Paul McCartney[/lastfm] on “My Valentine” at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
