Oprah Winfrey To Have First Interview With Whitney Houston’s Daughter, Family

As a close friend to [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Whitney Houston[/lastfm], it’s not surprising that the family has turned to Oprah Winfrey for the first exclusive interview since her tragic death on Feb. 11. Oprah has landed the first sit down interview with Houston’s only daughter, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina, as well as other members of her family for an exclusive special about the emotional events that took place.

The special airing on Oprah’s OWN cable channel for the show Oprah’s Next Chapter, is set to air this Sunday, March 11, and will feature the very first interviews with Houston’s close family.

In addition to talking with her daughter, Oprah will also sit down with Houston’s sister-in-law and manager, Patricia Houston, and her brother, Gary in what is sure to be a very emotional interview.

Houston was laid to rest on Feb. 18th at New Hope Baptist Church in her hometown of Newark, NJ. The official cause of her death is still being investigated.

You can watch a preview of the interview in the clip below:

Should be interesting; I’m sure the Whitney family are still coping with their grief. There is nothing worse then losing your mother at such a young age, no matter how old you are.
Like I mentioned before when my father died, I was 21 and pretty much went through the “grieving and funeral planning process” by myself; having come from such a small family. When my mother died 12 years ago (almost), again, I did the entire planning myself as well.

So, the Whitney family can take heart in the knowledge that they “have each other” to help them get through this terrible time. Hope things work out for them. Say a prayer for the Whitney family.
