This afternoon on ‘Tickets @ 2′ it’s a [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Billy Joel[/lastfm] hit titled “My Life.”
The song is about asserting your independence, and the theme of the 1980 television sitcom Bosom Buddies — the one that introduced us to Tom Hanks. However, because of licensing issues, the title theme was not Billy Joel’s version and was sung by a soundalike singer.
The pleasing harmonies are that of Chicago members Peter Cetera and Donnie Dacus, joining Billy for the back-up vocals.
When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to Pacific Symphony’s “Casablanca” Thursday March 15th at the Segerstrom Center for The Arts in Costa Mesa.
