Having just come off a massive cross country tour that ended last year, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bob Seger[/lastfm] has the power of inspiration fueling his work on his first new studio release since 2006’s Face The Music.
After attending the GRAMMYs this past Sunday, Seger commented that seeing such great talent has motivated him hunker down writing and recording new material for a tentative release in September. And who was the artist that inspired him the most? None other than the GRAMMYs queen of the night, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adele[/lastfm].
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Seger told them, “I’m setting myself a deadline of September 24th to have it out. Wish me luck.”
This spurt of Seger’s musical motivation comes just after taking his wife, daughter and son to the GRAMMYs on Sunday to catch up with old friends like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bruce Springsteen[/lastfm] and see all the new talent like Adele taking the awards ceremony by storm.
“I came here to get stoked up, see a bunch of great talent and I’m gonna fire up the writing pad tomorrow night,” he says.
He added, “I told my manager Monday, ‘I gotta see Adele sing.’ The whole family loves her. It’s really the main reason I started my way here.”
So keep your eyes and ears out for new music from Bob Seger coming your way in the near future. I guess we all have Adele to thank!
