The ‘Tickets @ 2′ hit of the day is “Still The One” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Orleans[/lastfm].
John Hall said the song came about as the result a a friend who was going through a divorce and asked Johanna (Hall’s wife and lyricist) to write a song about a couple staying together. She wrote the lyrics on the back of an envelope, and John wrote the music in ten minutes, which as he put it was a good sign.
In 2006 John Hall ran and was elected to congress from his district in New York, with campaign appearances by Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne.
Ironically John Hall and his wife Johanna have since divorced, who do they go to to write a song about them?
When you hear “Still The One” between two and three we’ll take caller#13 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see “Big Miracle” about Gray Wale rescues in Alaska.
