The Beatles Make TV Debut On The Ed Sullivan Show 48 Years Ago Today

It was 48 years ago today that we got our first look at the Fab Four in the U.S. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beatles[/lastfm] made their U.S. TV debut on The Ed Sullivan Show on Feb. 9, 1964, sparking the craze we know as ‘Beatlemaina.’

Later today, Paul McCartney will get his own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame alongside his fellow Beatle members. He was nominated for the honor back in 1993, but scheduling conflicts always pushed back the ceremony, until 2 p.m. today.
