Paul McCartney Hints At Playing The London Olympics
Rumors as to whether Sir [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Paul McCartney[/lastfm] would in some way have a performing role at the upcoming London Olympic games have popped time and time again, but this time the source comes straight from Paul’s lips.
In a recent interview, Paul hinted that he’s in talks with organizers to be involved with this year’s games!
The rumors could be true after Macca himself confirmed that he was in talks with organizers to perform at the 2012 London Olympics.
“I am seeing the guy because there is something they want me to do. I might be doing something in the Olympics. I won’t know until then,” Paul told the Daily Mirror this week.
In addition to the London games, Paul also said that he “could easily” be involved in some way with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations later this year, saying that he’s a “big fan of the Queen.”
We’ll keep you posted if in fact Paul signs on to play the London games, but it’s a waiting game until then!
