Actress Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital Monday night after possible substance abuse and exhaustion. According to TMZ, paramedics were called to her home and was assessed for a half hour before being transported to the hospital.
After the health scare, Demi’s rep released a statement saying she’s now seeking treatment to improve her health, which forced her to drop out of an upcoming film.
Sources told TMZ that the cause for Demi’s hospitalization was for substance abuse, but a statement released from her rep claims it was exhaustion.
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,” her rep said in a statement. “She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”
Demi’s rep also confirmed that the actress had to pull out of her role playing Gloria Steinem in Lovelace a Linda Lovelace biopic and would no longer be working on the project.
