Canadian rockers Randy Bachman and Fred Turner of the gritty ’70s duo [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bachman-Turner Overdrive[/lastfm] are going Hollywood in an upcoming Will Ferrell comedy titled Dog Fight.
The duo is set to appear as themselves in the film starring Ferrell and The Hangover‘s Zach Galifianakis and will perform their massive hit “Taking Care Of Business” in the movie.
The duo just spent four days on location in New Orleans filming their performance scene for the comedy about to political candidates (played by Ferrell and Galifianakis) vying for a congressional seat in North Carolina. The group will play their hit “Takin’ Care of Business” as the winning candidates victory song.
“It was really hard work, long days and about 200 people on set,” the band’s manager Gilles Paquin said. “But it’s one of the biggest movies of the year and it’s great positioning for the band.”
There’s no set release date for the comedy directed by Jay Roach (Austin Powers), but it’s expected to premiere before the November Presidential election this year. Dog Fight also stars comedy heavy weights Dan Aykroyd, John Lithgow, Jason Sudekis and Dylan McDermott.
