On ‘Tickets @ 2′ this afternoon it’s [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rufus[/lastfm] featuring [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Chaka Khan[/lastfm] and their hit “Ain’t Nobody.”

Producer Quincy Jones wanted the song for Michael Jackson’s Thriller album and almost got it. Rufus keyboardist David Wolinski wrote the song.

When Rufus was being formed, they rejected guitarist Roger Linn because he didn’t sing, but this was one of the first songs ever written to Roger’s invention – the LM-1 Drum, the worlds first programmable drum machine.

We’ve mentioned this before, Chaka Khan was born Yvette Stevens.

We’ve mentioned this before too, when we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #20 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a 4-Pack of 2-Day Disneyland tickets.
