Did You Know: “Hello It’s Me” By Todd Rundgren

Our ‘Tickets @ 2’ song of the day is “Hello It’s Me” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Todd Rundgren[/lastfm].

Originally recorded by Rundgren’s late-1960s band The Nazz, Rundgren wrote the song such as to focus on its more negative side-ending a relationship  in a phone call. Rundgren rerecorded it when he went solo.

Rundgren expected the album opener “I Saw The Light” to be his big hit, even going so far to say so in the liner notes rather tongue-in cheek. However “Hello It’s Me” shot up to the Top 5, eclipsing the Top 15 success of “I Saw The Light.”

When we play it between two and three try and be lucky caller #13 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a 4-Pack’ of 2-Day Disneyland Resort tickets to enjoy the Magic of both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.
