Which Artists Should Be Inducted Into The K-EARTH 101 Hall Of Fame?

The year 2012 is all about celebrating the 40th anniversary since K-EARTH 101 first started playing the greatest hits on earth, with the K-EARTH 101 Morning Show With Gary Bryan being on air for 10 of those years!

In honor of our 40th anniversary, we’re putting together a list of 101 artists to be inducted into the K-EARTH 101 Hall of Fame and want to know…which artists do you think should be inducted?!

Here’s a few artists to get you started (in no particular order), but we need your help to get up to 101 artists! Add your favorite artist you think should be added to the K-EARTH 101 Hall Of Fame in the comments below!

Top artists in the K-EARTH 101 Hall of Fame:

  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beatles[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Elvis Presley[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beach Boys[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Rolling Stones[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Supremes[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Doors[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Stevie Wonder[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Santana[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ritchie Valens[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Buddy Holly[/lastfm]
  • [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Aretha Franklin[/lastfm]
  • Shirley

Without a doubt in MY mind, both Chuck Berry AND Jackie Wilson should be in the KRTH Hall of Fame. They were both a huge influence on many of the others currently on the list!

  • Chris Prewitt

If you are going to have a KRTH hall of fame you need to add KRTH DJs. I would add Robert W Morgan.

    • Sharynne Giaimo-Coffin

And the Real Don Steele! And Charlie Tuna and Humble Harv as well!

  • Rich

Petula Clark, Lesley Gore and Dusty Springfield all had an impact on
Music and should be in the top 101!

  • Julia

I know they are a little newer than some of the others but what about Pink Floyd and Journey?

    • Gloria Molina Green

Good try, Julia, but the music of these particular groups, although remarkable in its own genre, is not “oldie” enough. E-Earth first struck ground in 1941. Give it time.

  • Jack

    Bill Haley & His Comets
    Bobby Darin
    Ricky Nelson

  • Terry

Diana Ross and also the Supremes!!

  • Cece

    Of course Hall and Oates!!!

  • Cece

  • Debby

    Crosby, Stills and Nash

  • Ken

You have to include the Mama’s and Papa’s and Buffalo Springfield. Great talent and such an influence.

  • Janet O.

Janis Joplan & Jimmy Hendrix without a doubt……

  • Hal Heydenfeldt

Don’t forget The Killer (himself)… Jerry Lee Lewis. Thanks.

  • Jackie

Billy Joel of course. And if the Kingsmen get in with their 1 hit then the Archies should be in for Sugar, Sugar. Just sayin’.

  • Leonard Arnaut

    The O’Jays – Forever mine

  • Bertie Deichler

Leslie Gore – Its My Party and You Don’t Own me

  • Mary

    Moody Blues

  • Big T.

Chicago and Three Dog Night have some great hits that are played and enjoyed still.

  • Big T.

    Doobie Brothers also.

  • Kay

    Boston and Chicago

  • Steve

    Dick dale

Also the Chantays for the classic. Pipeline

  • avalon1

We should definitely have the Monkees in there, since they haven’t made it into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame! And, CCR!!! And, you can leave out Barry Manilow, for sure!

  • RainbowRay

The Beatles and Elvis of course!

Sharing is caring and caring is sharing; living is giving and giving is living
    349 days to go!

  • Rick Rule

Elton John, Bob Dylan, the Kinks, The Who, Eric Clapton.

When you talk about Hall Of Fame, you must start at the begining.
    1. Chuck Berry
    2. Fats Domino
    3. Elvis Presley

  • Bill

Queen should be at the top with the Beatles and Rolling Stones.
