It’s hard for musicians to keep anything under wraps these days, especially when it comes to the release of new music. During her appearance on the British talk show The Graham Norton Show earlier on Wednesday, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Madonna[/lastfm] revealed the title of her upcoming album as M.D.N.A. and word quickly spread around!
Madonna announced her album title in a pre-taped interview set to air on Friday and confirmed the news on her website after news got around. Madonna’s 12th studio album M.D.N.A. — which is an abbreviated version of her name — is expected to be released sometime in March, but no official date has been confirmed.
During the interview, Madonna also expressed her frustration with her music ‘leaking’ on the Internet before its official release. According to UK Glamour magazine, Madonna teased the album’s release saying, “It’s soon. It depends how quickly people hack in to my server and leak it. Can people wait? It’s terrible.”
She was referring to a previous incident of a hacker leaking a demo of her song “Give Me All Your Love” back in November, which was to be included on her new album.
In addition to a brand new album on the horizon, Madonna will also be center stage in front of millions of viewers as the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show performer on Feb. 5th.
