The Doors Premiere Unreleased Track “She Smells So Nice”

After 40 years since [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Doors[/lastfm]’ final studio release L.A. Woman in 1971, members of the group premiered the first unreleased track from the session recordings all those years earlier.

In celebration of the native L.A. group’s 40th Anniversary re-release of L.A. Woman, they debuted the new track “She Smells So Nice” exclusively on their Facebook page on Monday, and you can take a listen to the gritty blues track here!

The track “She Smells So Nice” was discovered by co-producer Bruce Botnick while reviewing the original 1971 L.A. Womansession tapes for the 40th anniversary reissue of the album.

It features the late Doors front man Jim Morrison along with band members organist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, drummer John Densmore on a uptempo, bluesy jam that sounds as pristine since the day it was recorded in 1971.
