A Christmas Classic is our ‘Tickets @ 2′ song of the day, “The Christmas Song” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nat King Cole[/lastfm]. The song was written on a hot July day in Toluca Lake by Mel Torme and Bob Wells.

Nat King Cole recorded the song the first time in 1946, then re-recorded it again in 1953 with the Nelson Riddle orchestra adding strings.

When you hear it between two and three we’ll take caller #9 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to the 49th Annual Cruise Of Lights spectacular holiday ‘Light Show’ on water at sparkling Huntington Harbour.
