Did You Know: “Sleigh Ride” By The Ronettes

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ hit is a Christmas Classic from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Ronettes[/lastfm], it’s “Sleigh Ride.”

The Ronettes are Veronica “Ronnie” Bennett (a.k.a. Ronnie Spector) Estelle Bennett, and Nedra Talley Ross. Ronnie and Estelle are sisters, Nedra is their cousin. They were dancers and backup singers at clubs before recording as The Ronettes.

They opened for The Rolling Stones on their first US tour in 1964 and for The Beatles on their ’65 US tour.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to Pacific Symphony’s “A Michael W. Smith Christmas.”

I’ve been listening to the Ronettes and their music since I was in my teens and they have always been one of my favorite “christmas singing” groups because of the “harmony” that their music produces; just love it! Right stickybuns? (Fee-Fi Fiona). I keep BELIEVING! Keep BELIEIVING Fee-Fi honey. Hey Fiona, plese “BE MY BABY!”

    Peace and love!
