The ‘Tickets @ 2′ hit of the day is “Boogie Nights” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Heatwave[/lastfm]. It was written by the groups keyboardist Rod Temperton, the first song he ever wrote on his own. He went on to write several hits for [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Michael Jackson[/lastfm] including “Thriller” and “Rock With You.”

The song inspired the movie title for the movie Boogie Nights, set in the disco era.

We’ll take caller #14 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) when we play it between two and three to win Paul McCartney Tribute tickets at the Segerstrom Center For The Arts!

Yeah, I remember when this one came out during the disco craze which died a few years later.
