Did You Know: “Jack & Diane” By John Mellencamp

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ song is “Jack & Diane” by John (don’t call me Cougar) Mellencamp. The hit spent four weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982, it was Mellencamp’s biggest hit ever.

According to John, “Jack & Diane” was written after watching Splendor in the Grass, a 1961 movie starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty.

We’ll take caller #20 when it plays between two and three for a pair of tickets to see Bob Seger at Staples Center on December 28th at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).
