Did You Know: “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” By Blood, Sweat & Tears

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ hit is from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Blood, Sweat & Tears[/lastfm] “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy.”

It was originally a #39 hit for Motown singer Brenda Hollaway in 1967. Holloway shares writing credit with Berry Gordy, Frank Wilson and Patrice Holloway.

Blood, Sweat & Tears founder and keyboard player Al Kooper came up with the idea to record the song, but he left the group before they recorded as David Clayton Thomas took over. It turns out to be the first of 3 US # 2 songs for B, S, & T. The others being “Spinning Wheel”, and “When I Die.”

We’ll take caller # 16 when it plays between two and three for “Riverdance” tickets by calling 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).

Fiona honey, I know when you and I are together in Memphis (still BELIEVING!), we will make each other “So Very Happy”. Fiona, honey, “You Do make Me So Very Happy” and I will SOOOOOOOOOOO glad when I take you in my arms and kissing you like “magic” and not like a wet paintbrush or like a hedgehog called Frank (once owned by Nixon at one time). Then I’ll say, “thank ya baby” as well (Sealed With a Kiss). Still Believing!
