Only the biggest of the diehard Beatles fans would consider bidding on the late John Lennon’s actual tooth that’s going up for auction. This extremely rare piece of rock memorabilia is expected to fetch an estimated $16,000 to the lucky highest bidder  in an auction in England on Nov. 5th.

So how did the tooth even end up for auction? And if a rock icon’s tooth isn’t weird enough to add to a fan collection, maybe these five other strange pieces of memorabilia will perk your interest.

Lennon gave the tooth to his housekeeper Dot Jarlett, at his Kenwood mansion in Surrey, England in the late Sixties, who she then gave to her daughter as a souvenir after Lennon found out she was a Beatles fan (click here to see a picture of the tooth up for sale!).

“This is the most wonderful and weird item that we have ever had for sale,” Karen Fairweather of Omega Auctions told the BBC. “It is a truly unique item and it is really difficult to put a value on it.”

But a tooth doesn’t seem so strange compared to these other five random pieces of rock memorabilia sold to avid collectors over the years:

  1. A personal bra worn by Cher was auctioned off in Las Vegas in 2007. We’re just hoping it was cleaned before using it…
  2. A prescription bottle of Benadryl filled out to Elvis Presley in 1977 was sold for $800 at a Las Vegas auction in 2009. And no the pills were not included.
  3. Pop star Britney Spears is known for her gum-chewing habit, and one seller tried to auction off a piece of her discarded, chewed gum on eBay before it was taken down for violating rules since it contained her DNA.
  4. Special edition boxes of French Madonna condoms have been sought out by avid collectors to add to their music memorabilia collection.
  5. Another strange collectors item from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll was a lock of Elvis’ hair, which fetched an astounding $115,000 at a Chicago auction in 2002.
