Taking on routines set to famous movie music, the couples on Dancing With The Stars let loose with their themed dancing Monday night, but that wasn’t the major draw of last night’s episode. Everyone of course is talking about the audience appearance from the one and only Cher, who cheered on like a proud mama for her son Chaz Bono!
First up taking on a Tango set to the Mission Impossible theme song was blond bombshell Chynna Phillips, who found her dancing mission pretty impossible because she lost her way and blew the routine. David Arquette whipped the crowd in shape as Indian Jones and got everyone to their feet with his paso doble routine to the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme.
Carson Kressley danced a Viennese Waltz to the theme of Pirate of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and it looks like his routine was just that — cursed. He came in last place for the night with the judges liking his entertainment, but not his technique.
Nancy Grace danced a paso doble to the theme of Flash Gordon, but the judges thought it lacked expression and she could be in jeopardy this week. Hope Solo was up next with an energetic fox trot to Toy Story, but the judges think she needs to spend a little more time in rehearsal.
Rob Kardashian took his routine up a notch this week with a paso doble to the Superman theme song, but it was Ricki Lake up next who really blew the competition out of the water. Lake scored the season’s first 10’s with her tango to the Psycho theme song.
Then it was Chaz Bono‘s turn up next to impress his superstar mother Cher in the audience. His paso doble to the Rocky theme song moved his proud mama to tears and performed his best dance to date, but it still needs a little work if he wants to stay in the competition long.
Last up was J.R. Martinez, who’s coming off an emotional week last week, and did a fox trot to the Pink Panther theme song. Carrie Ann said the routine fell flat for her, but Len and Bruno agreed he was the best male dancer of the night.
Tonight’s results show will feature performances by Susan Boyle and Blake Shelton, plus Julianne Hough returns to the dance floor! Listen to the full recap in the Entertainment Report below!
