From her first major role in the long-running sitcom The Donna Reed Show to becoming an on screen co-star with Elvis Presley and later starring alongside Craig T. Nelson in the hugely popular sitcom Coach, Shelley Fabares has had a fruitful career as a film and TV star.
Shelley joined The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show this morning to talk about her many great years in TV and movies and her work with helping put and end to Alzheimer’s by promoting the annual Alzheimer’s Walk.
The credits to her name include dozens of movies and TV over her incredible five decade career in entertainment after starting acting at the age of three.
“I have loved working for so many years and have had wonderful times,” said Shelley. “And really it’s always thrilling when I talk to somebody and they have watched and they’ve enjoyed the work that I’ve done.”
These days, Shelley is active in her charity work and is one of the main forces behind the annual Alzheimer’s Walk. This Sunday, Shelley is helping promote the annual Alzheimer’s Walk, though she can’t be there in person this year due to a prior family engagement, and is sharing her own personal story of her mother’s battle with the degenerative disease.
To participate in this Sunday’s Alzheimer’s Walk at Century Park, visit the Alzheimer’s Association’s website for more information on how to help and sign up!
