‘Tickets @ 2′ today features a winner from the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eurythmics[/lastfm] who were Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart.

Annie Lennox explained that the song is about the search for fulfillment, and the “Sweet Dreams” are desires that motivate us.

Dave and Annie were a couple for about three years while they were members of the group called The Tourists. When The Tourists broke up, they formed Eurythmics as a duo and began writing together. A short time later, Lennox and Stewart broke up.

Lennox told Billboard magazine that before the Eurythmics: “I was really a hybrid between Stevie Wonder and Joni Mitchell.”

The Eurythmics appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone. Stewart fell into the L.A. music scene, where he wrote “Don’t Come Around Here No More” with Tom Petty.

When we play “Sweet Dreams” between two and three we’ll take caller # 20 to win those Brenton Wood, Evelyn “Champagne” King tickets to see them at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, plus Slot-Cards, and Buffet dinner for two by calling 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).
