Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. Tease New Music For Upcoming Concert At Cerritos Center

Not only are Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. a part of the successful late ’60s/70s vocal group [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The 5th Dimension[/lastfm], but the couple has also achieved an incredible milestone of being married for 42 years.

Still looking just as good as youthful as they did at the top of their career and with their marriage and music career still going strong, Marilyn and Billy are celebrating their continued success for a performance this weekend at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.

Having recently performed at the Catalina Club in August, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. won’t just be putting on the same show as before, and promise their upcoming show will have a few surprises for the audience.

The musical couple will be backed by a six-piece band and four backup singers to accompany their harmonies ballads like “Wedding Bell Blues,” “Up, Up and Away,” and the feel-good tune “Aquarius/Let The Sun Shine In.” They’ll be featuring all their biggest hits from both their days in The 5th Dimension and as a duo act, a few jazz selections and even some brand new music no one’s heard yet!

The duo has acheived over four decades of success in both music and love, and are always willing to share the secrets behind keeping their marriage so strong after all these years.

“When we first got married, people did not believe that we would last two years,” Marilyn tells Gary Bryan. “We just believe that you’ve got to have a strong friendship…that holds you together through the tough times.”

This weekend is your chance to catch up with these amazing performers and fall in love with their music all over again at their concert at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Oct. 1st. For more information and tickets to the show, click here.
