Today it’s some working class reflecting from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]John Mellencamp[/lastfm] on ‘Tickets @ 2.’
A little ditty about “Jack And Diane” two American kids growing up in the heartland. The song is about a high school couple falling in love. John wrote the song about life in his hometown of Seymour, Indiana, which had a population of 13,000.
The Sun October 10, 2008 asked Mellencamp if he was bothered that he is best known for this song. He replied: “That song is 30 or so years old and it gets played more today in the United States than it did when it came out.”
When we play it between two and three we’ll look for caller # 18 to win a nice package to see Brenton Wood’s “Old School Revue” featuring Evelyn “Champagne” King, San Manual Indian Bingo & Casino slot-cards and Buffet dinner for two by calling 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).
