After a 28 season career of announcing Los Angeles Dodgers games, sportscaster Ross Porter is getting back behind the microphone for a brand new broadcasting venture with internet play-by-play.

Now the new voice for iBN Sports, Ross is hosting the popular show Real Sports Heroes as well as announcing high school sports on the innovation digital sports network. Ross checked in with the K-EARTH 101 Morning Show this morning to talk about his new announcing career, plus gave his two cents on the current Dodgers mess and whether or not the McCourts should lose the team.

Just announced as the brand new voice for the internet sportscasting venture iBNSports.com, former Dodgers announcer Ross Porter is eager to get back on the mic and do what he does best — sports announcing.

“It’s exciting to be back and see these kids play and be able to get back on the microphone and do play-by-play,” said Ross.

The veteran sports broadcaster also gave his input on the current dilemmas for his beloved Dodgers and what the fate of the team could be.

“The enormity of it is, I don’t think any of us had any idea that it was going to go to all the areas it went to and so fast. It’s been sad for the Dodger organization and especially sad for the fans, because they’re not used to this. So hopefully that’s going to have a peaceful resolution sometime, I don’t when that’s going to be,” said Ross.

You can listen to Ross announce more games on his new home at iBNSports.com. Listen to our full interview with Ross to hear more about his new sports venture and his take on the Dodgers!
