Forget the reports from before saying that Sir [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Paul McCartney[/lastfm] is planning to wed his third wife, Nancy Shevell, at his farmhouse in Sussex, England this weekend. New reports found that the former Beatle has posted a notice of intention to marry at the very same venue where he married his first wife, Linda, more than 40 years ago.
McCartney is returning to the same venue where he married Linda for his wedding ceremony with soon-to-be third wife Nancy Shevell. He and his fiancée posted a notice at London’s Marylebone Register Office on Wednesday, according to Westminster Council, which means the couple could marry anytime after September 30th up until a year later.
The notice is filed under McCartney’s full birth name, James Paul McCartney, describing himself as a “businessman” and giving the address of his London home.
Alison Cathcart, Westminster City Council’s superintendent registrar, said she would be officiating and was “delighted that Paul and Nancy have chosen Marylebone Town Hall for their special day.”
She continued, “Lots of couples get married here because of the venue’s reputation as a rock ‘n’ roll place to tie the knot and this ceremony will certainly continue that legacy.”
McCartney married his first wife Linda at the very same venue in 1968. She later died of cancer in 1998 and he later married Heather Mills, which ended in divorce in 2008.
