Of all the celebrity power couples in Hollywood, we thought this marriage would be the one to last. According to reports from In Touch Weekly, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are separating after 13 years of marriage and raising their two budding pop star children, Jaden and Willow, and another son Trey from Will’s previous marriage.
Neither of the stars’ reps have confirmed whether or not the rumors of the couple’s split are true, but an insider has come to In Touch Weekly exclusively saying the couple is separating.
Will and Jada met while she was auditioning for a part on Smith’s hit show The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and married on December 31, 1997. According to a previous appearance on Ellen, divorce has always been out of the question for Smith.
“What I found is divorce just can’t be an option,” he said. “It’s really that simple. And I think that’s the problem with L.A. – there are so many options. So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options.”
