Abercrombie and Fitch Wants To Pay “The Situation” To Stop Wearing Their Clothes

Normally celebrities are paid big bucks to wear a designer’s duds, but not so much for Jersey Shore‘s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. Apparently, Abercrombie & Fitch wants to pay him to stop wearing its clothes.

Yesterday, the retailer issued a press release saying they have offered The Situation and the Jersey Shore roommates substantial sums of money to stop wearing their clothes.

They claim that whoever wears their brand of clothing does influence what new customers might want to purchase, and they say that The Situation’s association with the brand could cause significant damage.

Heard of Jersey Shore, but have never seen it so I can’t say what the hubub is about. I think the company is making a mountain out of a mole hill, right? “Payoff for products” how about that?
