Another classic sitcom is getting revived from TV Land obscurity with the likes of Charlie’s Angels, Bewitched and Hawaii Five-O. The odd TV family The Munsters is making its way back to prime-time, but this time with a much darker, edgier feel than we’re to seeing from the eccentric bunch.
Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) is taking a second shot at developing this new, hour-long take on The Munsters for NBC, but we want to know, should this classic 1960s sitcom get the remake touch or should it be left alone?
All our favorite characters from the Munster family will be included in the revamped including Herman Munster, wife Lily, the eccentric Grandpa, son Eddie and niece Marilyn Munster. Even Eddie’s pet dragon, Spot is said to be featured in the remake.
The revived series is said to focus on how the family living at 1313 Mockingbird Lane came to be, with a darker feel and a touch of comedy that’s familiar of the original.
Do you think it’s a good idea for this classic sitcom to get a modern remake amongst the rising popularity of Vampire shows and movies, or should this classic be left alone?
