Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: “I Want You To Want Me” by Cheap Trick

Did You Know: “O-o-o Child” By The Five Stairsteps

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Five Stairsteps[/lastfm] are back on ‘Tickets @ 2’ with “O-0-0 Child.” The Five Stairsteps were formed in Chicago  and comprised of Burke family members Clarence Jr., James, Aloha, Kenneth and Dennis. They got their name when “Momma Stairstep” (as Betty Burke was affectionately called) noticed her kids looked like stair steps when standing next to each other according to age.

Other singers who recorded the song include Richie Havens, Daryl Hall and The Edwin Hawkins Singers.

Verizon used it in a commercial, and in 2007 the song was also used in a commercial for the ADHD Road Map to Success Kit.

We’ll take caller # 8 when we play it between two and three for a family four pack of tickets to Disney’s Fantasia at the Hollywood Bowl. 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).
