‘Grease’ Actress Annette Charles Passes Away At 63

After famously making her mark in movie history as Danny’s sultry dance partner Cha Cha DiGregorio in the hit 1978 musical Grease, actress Annette Charles is forever remembered for her tantalizing hand jive scene in the classic film.

The world was saddened when hearing the news the actress passed away on Wednesday, August 3rd after complications from cancer, just two months after Grease costar Jeff Conaway passed away.

The saucy brunette actress had been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago and died from complications relating to the disease in her home in Los Angeles at the age of 63.

She starred in the classic musical Grease as Cha Cha DiGregorio, who stole Danny Zucco (John Travolta) from Sandy (Olivia Newton John) at the school dance with her famous hand jive scene with Travolta. In the movie, she was referred to “the best dancer at St Bernadette’s… with the worst reputation,” and won the school’s televised dancing competition with Travolta.
