Comedian and friend of K-EARTH 101, Paul Rodriguez checked in with Gary this morning to talk about his upcoming show at the Cerritos Center this Friday, and put in his two cents on the whole George Lopez vs. Jay Leno controversy that was sparked by Lopez’s recent interview on Piers Morgan.
Not taking any sides in their war of words, Paul didn’t even know about the Lopez’s attack on Leno, but he is certainly well aware that his friend has always had an issue with Leno. Hear what he had to say about the feud and his experience of Leno even mistaking him for Lopez a few years back!

Not even aware of the recent events of Lopez calling Leno “two-faced” and a “back-stabber,” Paul is surprised that fellow comedian George Lopez would say those things about Jay, despite knowing they’ve always had something against each other.
“I know he doesn’t like him,” says Paul later adding, “I know that they’ve been having a thing against each other for a long time.”
Paul has even had his own run-in with the Tonight Show host when Leno mistook him for his Lopez even though Paul says they’ve met each others’ families before.
But still Paul offers up his own theory on why Lopez said those harsh words towards Leno seemingly out of left field, joking, ” I heard that medication he takes for his kidneys makes him grumpy.”
Celebrity feuds aside, Paul is looking forward to his huge show at the Cerritos Center for the Performance Arts with special guest, comedian Louie Anderson tomorrow, Friday, July 29th at 8 p.m. For more information and tickets to the show, click here!
