A group of California friends said they took advantage of a freeway closure by holding a mock dinner party on the empty roadway. Matt and Amanda Corrigan of Sherman Oaks conspired with Barry Neely and Jesse Glucksman to perform and photograph the stunt early Sunday morning on an empty stretch of the 405 Freeway running through Sepulveda Pass, KCBS-TV, Los Angeles, reported.
The group said the stunt, which took less than 10 minutes, involved a mock dinner table decked out with a table cloth, wine glasses and candlesticks. Gluckman said he took plenty of pictures to commemorate the event. “Once we got out on the highway, I just kept shooting, shooting, shooting,” Gluckman said. The group said the fun ended when a construction crew showed up and kicked them out of their makeshift dining room.
