It’s a done deal, according to the NY Daily News, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm] will return to American Idol as a judge. For weeks J-Lo was the lone holdout after [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Steven Tyler[/lastfm] and Randy Jackson both resigned. J-Lo was sitting on a fence about returning for a second season, claiming her schedule was too busy for Idol.

She has several shows of her own that she is trying to start up, including a Latin-American singing show, Qviva, with her husband Marc Anthony. She also has the show Southbeach To which is kind of like Repo Men.

Bottom line is, Lopez earned $12 million last year as a judge on Idol and clearly wanted more this year, so she played the game, and according to the NY Daily news she won. Sources say she’s getting a Simon Cowell amount of money somewhere around $20 million.
