They’re the heads of the family and we always looked up to them to provide valuable life lessons and solutions to our problems. In honor of Father’s Day approaching on Sunday, we’re taking a look at some of the greatest sitcom dads in TV history that we wished our dads would be like! Though no one can replace our own dads, these sitcom fathers came in for a close second.
1. Ward Cleaver (Hugh Beaumont) — Leave It To Beaver: Always The mild-tempered dad was the stereotypical father of the 1950s and also taught life lessons to his sons.
2. Howard Cunningham (Tom Bosley) — Happy Days: Mr. C was a father figure and role model not only to his kids Richie and Joanie, but also to Fonzie, Ralph Malph and Potsie.
